THAT MORLEY MAG is predominantly a printed magazine

I am thrilled to present the third THAT MORLEY MAG, a publication born out of a love for community and a passion for positivity. As the founder of THAT LEEDS MAG, started in 2020 to highlight the vibrancy of North Leeds, I have the experience and knowledge to create a successful community-focused publication. My mission is simple: to create a magazine that reflects the values I cherish – community, respect, and environmental consciousness – while celebrating local stories, businesses, events, and hidden gems that define Morley.

I believe in the power of positive conversation and action; this magazine highlights the best of Morley.

THAT MORLEY MAG isn’t just a magazine; it’s a movement to create a stronger, more connected, and vibrant community.

16,000 copies of THAT MORLEY MAG will be printed every six weeks. If you’d like additional copies of THAT MORLEY MAG to share with your friends, these can be collected from local spots.

Not far from Morley, I explore the rich natural and industrial heritage of Middleton Park – one of Leeds’ largest and most surprising green spaces. Maintained with care by the Friends of Middleton Park, it’s not only a haven for wildlife and walkers, but also home to a range of community events – including the ever-popular Great Middleton Park Show, taking place on Sunday 14th September from 1pm to 4pm.

I also spotlight Leeds Open Studios, returning this September with a rare opportunity to peek behind the scenes of the city’s creative spaces.

And I send my congratulations to Morley’s new Mayor, Councillor Carol Edwards, whose recent Civic Service brought colour and community spirit to the town. It was a proud start to her mayoral year – and a fitting reminder of the strength of local connection.

This issue also takes you to Gildersome’s peaceful Carr Hall Farm, home to Equine Pathways UK, where gentle rescue ponies help children and adults find calm, confidence, and connection through the power of equine therapy.
