We’re Morley Live CIC – a brand‑new creative home right in the heart of Morley, built by people who love music, community and a good old natter over a brew. Our space has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of: a cosy café/bar, a grassroots music venue and a community‑focused music school, all buzzing under one roof.

Our building might have once been a bank, but you’d never guess it now. The moment you walk in, you can feel the energy – the warm welcome, the chatter, the clatter, the music drifting out of lesson rooms, and the general “pull up a chair, you’re one of us now” vibe. That’s exactly what we want Morley Live CIC to be: a place where everyone feels at home.

Becoming a CIC (Community Interest Company) was a natural choice for us. It means our purpose is officially rooted in serving the community – something that’s always been at the centre of what we do. We’re here to support local people, local artists and local creativity, and being a CIC lets us put that mission front and centre.

Every week, our venue comes alive with gigs that champion grassroots musicians from across the North (and sometimes beyond). These aren’t just shows – they’re chances for artists to grow, connect and be heard. We also host creative networking events, helping musicians and makers meet collaborators, mentors and new friends.
But it’s not just about the music. Our space is home to all sorts of community groups: baby and toddler sessions, dance classes, exercise groups, home‑ed socials – you name it, someone’s probably doing it here. We love seeing the building full of life from morning to night.

Our music school is a huge part of who we are. We teach all ages, all abilities and all ambitions. Whether you’re dreaming of stepping on stage or just fancy trying something new, we’re here to cheer you on. Confidence, creativity and community are at the heart of every lesson.
