Located in the vibrant area of Morley Bottoms, Seven Hills is a family-run pub with a deep connection to the local community. Owned by uncle-and-nephew duo Frank Tighe and Danny Avison, both lifelong Morley residents, the pub is a testament to their passion for creating a warm, welcoming space for all.
The Tighe family has a proud history in Morley, with Frank Tighe Snr (Danny’s grandad) serving as Mayor in 2000 and 2001. When Frank and Danny took over the pub in June 2024, they even considered renaming it “The Mayor of Morley” in honour of their family legacy. Instead, they focused their efforts on revitalising the pub, putting countless hours into renovating the bar and cellars.
Their dedication has paid off in spades. Seven Hills has earned a coveted 3-pint rating on the CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) website, ranking it among the best pubs in the area for cask beer quality. The pub’s map on camra.org.uk shows it as a standout, with the nearest 3-pint rated pub well outside walking distance, making it a must-visit for Morley beer enthusiasts.
But Seven Hills is more than just a pub; it’s a community hub. With quiz nights and open mic events alternating on Wednesdays, and live music at least once a month, there’s always something happening. The pub is also available for private events and doubles as a workshop space, making it a versatile venue for gatherings of all kinds.

Seven Hills Morley has many reasons to celebrate
The team at Seven Hills Bar in Morley Bottoms, have proudly earned the prestigious Cask Marque accreditation for serving the perfect pint of cask-conditioned ale.
“This award is a great endorsement for us,” said Co-owner Frank Tighe. “A lot of people visit especially for the cask ale. It’s taken a lot of hard work, but it’s gratifying to know we’re getting it right.”
Cask Marque is backed by 50 of the UK’s leading brewers and pub companies and is only awarded after rigorous independent audits of beer and cellar standards. Since 1998, it has inspected over 750,000 pints and accredited over 10,000 of the UK’s 40,000 pubs serving cask ale.
Cask Marque director Paul Nunny praised the pair: “Frank and Danny should feel justifiably proud of this great achievement. It recognises their effort and guarantees quality for customers.”
The bar also received a glowing review from The Great British Pub Crawl, who highlighted their excellent cask ale selection.
Frank and Danny are on a mission to create a welcoming space that celebrates top-quality local ales, good music, and community spirit.
